Bookstore Next Door Volunteer FAQs

Below is a list of frequently asked questions.

What will I be doing?

Volunteers are responsible for staffing the cashier desk, providing customer service, helping customers with their donations, and maintaining the neatness of the store.

Do I need any special skills?

Volunteers should enjoy working with the public and must be able to tally purchases and make change (calculators provided).

Physical Requirements

Volunteer duties may require bending, reaching, light lifting, standing, etc.

Does the Book Store Next Door accept student volunteers  needing to fill a community service requirement?

Unfortunately, the Book Store cannot offer short term volunteer opportunities to fulfill community service requirements.
