Join us for hot cocoa and a drop-in information session with the Planning & Conservation Department.
The Town of Wilmington is required by the new Section 3A of the Commonwealth’s Zoning Act to create a new zoning district that allows for at least 1,248 units of multi-family housing units. The new zoning must be in place by the end of 2024. Public input from an online survey led to the proposed draft zoning district, which will be presented at the May 2024 Annual Town Meeting. The proposed district includes sections of West Street, Main Street, Burlington Avenue, and Deming Way. Please drop by on March 21st between 6pm-7pm for hot chocolate by the library's digital fireplace to learn more about the Section 3A housing requirement and the proposed zoning that will be presented for a vote at the 2024 Annual Town Meeting. Valerie Gingrich, Director of Planning & Conservation, and Jayne Wierzbicki, Planner/Economic Development Coordinator will be happy to answer your questions and listen to your feedback.
