Meet bestselling novelist Chris Bohjalian!

Mr. Bohjalian is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of more than two-dozen books, and his work has been translated into over 35 languages.

His critically acclaimed novels are gripping works of fiction that explore contemporary social issues and how they play out in the lives of ordinary people, as well as to shed light on some of the most important moments in history. His writing delves into such topics as domestic violence, global climate change, gender identity, genocide, adultery, animal rights, adoption, homelessness, mental illness, and human trafficking. Some of his titles include Hour of the Witch, The Guest RoomSkeletons at the Feast, and The Sandcastle Girls, and The Flight Attendant. He is also a playwright and screenwriter. His work has won many awards.

He was a weekly columnist in Vermont for The Burlington Free Press from 1992 to 2015.  He graduated from Amherst College and lives in Vermont with his wife, the photographer Victoria Blewer.

On Thursday, May 8, 2025, Mr. Bohjalian will read from and discuss his books. Copies of his books will be available for purchase.

Free. Registration required. This event begins at 7:30 p.m. Book sales and cash bar start at 6:30 p.m.

Other details: This is an indoor event. There is no hybrid/Zoom component to this program.This program will not be recorded. There is no ticket needed on the day of the event.  If you are registered to attend, your name will be on a printed list at the check-in table. And volunteers will be on hand to check your name off the registrant list.
