Friends Annual Jewelry Sale

Since 2021, our annual sales have helped raised funds to support the many services provided by our beloved library. We couldn’t do it without the generous support of our customers, volunteers, and donors–thank you!

Here, you’ll find details about our next sale, donation requests, and the general rules for the event. Due to the popularity of the sale and the well-being of our customers, we’ve implemented a few guidelines to ensure a fun and exciting experience for all. All proceeds benefit the Wilmington Memorial Library. Thank you for supporting the Friends of WML and the Library!

The 6th Annual Sale will be Friday, April 3 & Saturday, April 4, 2026 

Ticketing

Due to expected high attendance on Friday evening we're offering timed entry tickets.

  • Starting at 2pm on Friday you can pick up an entry ticket on the first floor of the library adjacent to the circulation desk.
  • Tickets will be available for the following time slots: 5pm, 5:15pm, 5:30pm, 5:45pm, 6pm, 6:15pm, and 6:30pm. Please note: One ticket per person.
  • Between 5pm and 6:30pm on Friday, you will need a ticket to enter the sale. After 6:30pm, no ticket is needed for entry.
  • No tickets are needed on Saturday.
  • If necessary, we may temporarily hold the line to control the number of people in the room due to fire safety regulations.

Additional Sale Info

  • No large bags, purses, or gear allowed. We can store them near the cashier at your own risk.
  • Prices are firm--no negotiations, as this is a fundraiser.
  • Stealing will not be tolerated, and anyone caught stealing will be asked to leave.
  • For our higher-end jewelry section, please place items in clear bags and leave them with staff to be purchased at a special register.

Donate Jewelry to Support the Library

We accept jewelry donations year-round—feel free to drop off items at the library's circulation desk while making room for new treasures from this year's sale! We welcome all types of jewelry in good condition, including: pins, watches, necklaces, earrings, rings, kids jewelry, cufflinks, and more. Whether new, gently worn, gold, silver, precious stones, or costume, your donation supports the library. Donation forms are available upon request.
